• A Glimpse on
research work : A novel yeast strain, Debaryomyces nepalensis has
been isolated in my laboratory. Previously, it has been reported that it
produces pectinases. I found that this strain is tolerant to high salt
concentration. Further research on this strain will provide information about
the physiological and molecular basis of high salt tolerance in this species.
This study will be particularly important from industrial point of view.
