SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY

The primary goal of Recombinant protein Production group is to exploit microbial cell factories for production of recombinant proteins that are of high commercial and medical value. Our group has been successfully working on producing high molecular weight Hyaluronic acid, a commercially valued polymer used in various medical and cosmetic applications, in a range of microbial strains. Our efforts grow towards engineering microbial systems for efficient production of recombinant proteins that are used as better sources for therapy and research.
