Computational Biology
The Computational Biology group comprises 11 faculty members whose work focuses on the broad areas of protein homeostasis, and systems biology/multi-omics. Their interdisciplinary research focuses on developing new approaches and algorithms that integrate datasets from multiple scales to unravel the complex nature of biological systems. Some of the key research focused on protein homeostasis are prediction and analysis of protein structure, function, assembly and dynamics include simulations of proteins and nucleotides. The research focus of systems biology and multi-omics group include elucidation of genotype-phenotype relationships, establishment of mathematical models (both mechanistic and statistic) representing cells and/or cellular processes with applications in health and biomanufacturing sectors.
